About the Conference
The Matlosana Trade and Infrastructure Investment Conference aims to be a catalytic platform for economic growth and development for the City of Matlosana. The Conference will play host to a number of local and international investors interested in the investment opportunities offered by the City Region.
The conference and exhibition seeks to attract local and foreign direct investment into priority sectors of the economy. Bringing together a diverse range of policy makers, businesses and investors, the conference will provide a dynamic environment for engagement and dialogue on initiatives and efforts to attract investment into selected sectors of the local economy. The City of Matlosana is located in the North West province of South Africa. It is the largest of all towns in province.
Key sectors of the economy include mining, agriculture, manufacturing and growing tertiary sectors.
The City offers easy access to the regional markets of Botswana and Namibia and boasts easy and strong linkages to the Country’s economic hub of Gauteng.
The North West is a large and significant local economy in the South African economic context.
The area contributes approximately 5.7% to national production with mining, agriculture and manufacturing contributing the largest portion of provincial output. 65% of the province is rural with a low economic base.
